The truth is out: My mom is a "bag lady." And I couldn't be more proud of her. Once a month she takes her turn setting up the lunch sacks for the homeless shelter in her community. Other volunteers make the sandwiches and fill the sacks with lunch items for those who are hungry...and waiting. Her friends call out, "Is the bag lady ready for our sandwiches?" She answers without hesitation, "You betcha, I'm ready!" May we all fill our days not only will self-fulfillment, but with volunteering in our community somehow...somewhere.
