It was brought to my attention today (being our garbage pickup day) that garbage is a subject that needs addressing, the emptying in particular.I dobelievewe should stop and appreciate the fact that nice people in colorful trucks actually come by our house and take our garbage away. What I have found regarding garbage is this advice from a late advice columnist, Ann Landers. When asked whose job it was to empty the garbage, the husband, wife, or children, her answer was simple: Whoever finds the trashcan full needs to empty it. Now that is simply a lovely notion, and this way of doing things at our house has mitigated ill feelings and eliminated stress. Lovely!
