CALL ME CRAZY!

Sigh! I love being in airports. I love seeing all the people, all the workers, all the different luggage. I love watching the ticket agents, the pilots and crew members getting ready for their next flight. The airport environment is so stimulating to me. There is life here! And if all this was not enough fun, there are interesting people to sit next to on the plane. I'm still friends with many of them on Facebook, staying in touch. Call me crazy, but I believe you can meet some of the nicest people on earth at an airport. Today I'll be in Laguardia, Midway, and San Diego. Sigh...I really hate for it to end. (Yes, I'm probably crazy!)

SUNNY OR DARK SIDE? YOU CHOOSE...

Sometimes I could just explode with happiness! Do you ever feel that way? Sure, it's partly temperament, but I believe it's also a choice. No matter what happens, we can decide to find the good in any situation. Try it today and see what happens. I think you'll find you'll feel happier if you do.

Blessings on your day, dear friends!

THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!

Or not! When things go wrong, like getting behind in a book launch schedule or not getting an author interview out on time, I often feel like the sky is falling. That is, if I choose to feel stressed out. Instead, I choose to remain calm, understand the way things are, and learn that certain aspects of being an author take considerable time, when done correctly. Just think, if everyone made the decision to look at trials as simply a means to an end, we wouldn't assume the sky is falling. I believe we would look at difficult situations as lessons to be learned that improve our way of doing things. Each day would bring us closer to being more competent and ultimately more successful. After all, isn't that what we're striving for? May you have a good attitude toward all that happens in your life today and everyday, dear friends.

LOVELY TO DO LIST

I found this list hanging on the wall in my daughter's college apartment during my visit. The list offers some good ideas to make one's life a bit more pleasant and enjoyable, things I'm always interested in. Enjoy the read and see if there are some ideas you might find helpful to think about. I certainly did. I wish I had tipped the waiter more yesterday. (I especially liked the one about calling your mother, too!) Have a lovely day, friends, and God bless you!

WHAT'S YOUR FOCUS?

After getting my teeth cleaned by a dear fan, I was floating on cloud nine. Nothing like someone loving your work! The weather was drizzling rain (one of my favorites) and I proceeded to my favorite store, Walmart, where I found the last two turtlenecks available in my size for half-price. Nice! I wondered if anyone else was as happy as I was, and with no way of knowing of course I just decided to enjoy my happiness and wallow in it. It's a lovely thing to have your housework finished, your dinner simmering in the crock pot and no pending disasters in your family anywhere. My focus is on what can be accomplished, not on what has happened. Big difference when you wake up in the morning and face the day. No matter what happens, the situation can be turned into something good. I think that's a lovely way to live.

TEST THIS OUT!

They have proven that when a woman wakes up in the morning to fresh flowers by her bed, she has a much more positive day. So ladies, for the sake of our own happiness, and the sake of those we are around everyday, I say buy some fresh flowers and make it a lovely day!
